With roots stretching back to his early residency at the legendary Happy Day Dance Café in Veszprém and his live broadcasts on Radio Jam FM, Zima Blue brings decades of DJ experience and musical intuition to the airwaves.
Each episode reflects his deep passion for storytelling through sound — weaving warm textures, subtle rhythms, and immersive melodies into a seamless mix. Expect underground gems, emotional depth, and forward-thinking grooves that create space for both reflection and movement.
Zima Blue (real name Robert Palffy) is a seasoned electronic music producer and DJ whose journey through sound began in 1997. With nearly three decades of experience behind the decks, he has developed a refined and emotive style rooted in Deep, Organic, and Progressive House — genres he passionately champions as his artistic signature.
His first major break came as a resident DJ at the legendary Happy Day Dance Café in Veszprém, Hungary — a hotspot that drew thousands of partygoers each weekend. From there, his presence quickly expanded to the airwaves, performing monthly live sets on Radio Jam FM, establishing his name within Hungary's underground scene.
Zima Blue has since played at some of the most iconic venues across Hungary and beyond, including Gallery / Atrium Music Club (Balatonfüred), Ibiza Disco (Zalaszentgrót), Menta Café & Lounge (Székesfehérvár), DC Club (Veszprém), FLÖRT (Siófok), Kashmir Lounge (Amsterdam), and Eisenstadt (Austria).
His mixes and productions have been featured on renowned FM and online radio platforms such as Frisky Radio, Proton Radio, Loops Radio, FM Roxy, and many more. Over the years, he has shared the stage with notable acts including DJ Budai, Chriss, Peter Makto, James Holden, and DJ Kühl, to name a few.
In 2008, he earned 3rd place in the JustMusicFM DJ competition, further cementing his reputation. That same year, he graduated from the prestigious Budai DJ and Producer School, led by one of Hungary’s most respected electronic artists.
A highlight in his career came when Guy Gerber dropped one of Zima Blue’s bootlegs at the legendary Rumors party in Ibiza — a true testament to his production prowess and international appeal.
With a deeply melodic sound and years of experience both onstage and in the studio, Zima Blue continues to captivate audiences, delivering thoughtful and emotionally rich sets that transcend borders.
